Continuing their mission to protect, clean and restore the world’s water, Oris have released this stunning Oris Aquis Diver Hangang Limited Edition to support and encourage ocean and lake conservation. The timepiece has been designed in partnership with Seoul KFEM to highlight the plights of the Hangang River in South Korea, an incredibly important water source which supplies water to the 10 million inhabitants living in the country’s capital. Unfortunately, due to years of neglect, the river has become polluted and is in desperate need of restoration. Money made from the sales of this Oris Aquis Diver Hangang watch will go towards funding this project and others part of Oris’ Change for the Better campaign.

As with any Oris divers watch, the Aquis Diver Hangang Limited Edition instantly impresses with a 43.5mm stainless steel case, unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel with a dark green ceramic insert and a 300 metre water resistant rating. Domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment is used to protect the stunning green dial which is inspired by the colours of the creek waters found at Hangang’s source while Superluminova hands and indexes provide optimal legibility in all lighting. The screw down case back is also beautifully engraved with a map of Hangang’s path across Korea and its unique limited edition number out of 2,000 pieces. To power the Oris Aquis Diver Hangang watch, the Oris 743 automatic winding movement is employed and provides centre hands for hours and minutes, a continuous small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, a circular date window with white indicator and a power reserve of 38 hours.
